Safe & Sound!

At South Place Hotel, genuine connections are at the heart of what we do. It’s also our goal to help you make memories and incredible moments. We have always and will continue to take care to look after everyone who walks through our doors.

We know that when you stay and dine with us, it’s more than a bed that we’re providing, it’s also safety and peace of mind. Our health and safety protocols are in place across the hotel, restaurants and bars as safe welcoming spaces for everyone.

To follow local and state government guidelines, we may temporarily close or limiting access to certain amenities if required.

HOTEL

  • All common areas and shared equipment are disinfected at frequent intervals. Hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout all public spaces.
  • Physical distancing is place across the hotel
  • A face mask is required when moving around public areas of the hotel unless you are a guest under the age of 11 or exempt due to medical reasons as outlined on GOV.UK.
  • We ask all visitors and guests to download the NHS track and trace application as you will be asked to “check-in” on arrival.
  • Close-contact areas, such as the front desk, have an additional layer of protection provided by plexiglass partitions.
  • All common-area furnishings are rearranged and/or reduced to support physical distancing, and some items like newspapers, books and leaflets have been temporarily removed.
  • We do not accept cash payments at present in any area of the hotel and contactless payments are preferred.
  • Our complimentary Bikes have an additional layer of disinfection before and after each use
  • Luggage storage is not currently offered along with Valet parking
  • Guest lifts and public facilities have capacity limits in place for additional space.
  • Packages and deliveries will need to be arranged in advance with our team and will be stored for 72 hours to limit the spread of COVID-19

GUEST ROOMS

  • Between each stay, all guest rooms are regularly disinfected following appropriate public health guidelines.
  • All in-room amenities, such as bath mats, scales, hairdryers and other products, will also be disinfected between stays.
  • In a few cases, we’ve removed certain guest room items as a precautionary measure or made changes to the delivery format.
  • Our in-room dining menus will be available through our app and TV system
  • Mini bar / Pillow menus are disposed off between stays
  • Only residents of the hotel are permitted to our guest floors/rooms both for security and safety
  • The images shown on our site are pre-covid and may not reflect the current set up depending on the current guidance issued by the local authorities

MEETING & EVENTS

  • Updated floor plans and capacity charts are used in our meeting/event planning process to support physical distancing for guests and colleagues.
  • Communal water pitchers will be replaced with individual bottled water and certain tabletop items (stationary, pens, candy, and décor) will be temporarily removed as a precautionary measure.
  • Virtual AV offerings is available.
  • Reimagined menu offerings to include pre-packaged food served in sustainable containers and utensils.
  • New service standards training provided to all service team.
  • Sanitation stations available.

  • Face coverings and gloves available for meeting attendees.
  • We do not accept cash payments at present in any area of the hotel and contactless payments are preferred.

RESTAURANT & BARS

  • High-touch areas, such as door handles, pick-up counters, and team work stations, are routinely disinfected at frequent intervals.
  • All our restaurants are bars will continue to adhere to current government guidelines on seating and group gatherings
  • Hand sanitiser are available at the restaurant’s entrance.
  • Restaurant furnishings are re-arranged so that entrances and exits are accessible in a way that supports physical distancing.
  • Physical distancing markers will be used in colleague work spaces and, where appropriate, in the restaurant’s common areas.
  • Payment at our restaurants also follow physical distancing protocols.
  • Physical distancing will be supported by limiting the number of guests per table, and ensuring tables are placed apart.
  • We do not accept cash payments at present in any area of the hotel and contactless payments are preferred.

Our Team

  • Our team are screened for signs of illness and will stay or return home as appropriate
  • Our team continuously use protective equipment, and this use is supplemented with hand-washing breaks and hand-sanitiser stations.
  • Our team will continue to wear a face covering
  • Our team as always will keep space in places where possible, such as guest bedrooms, corridors and other public areas
