Is the hotel in the London Congestion Zone?

Ultra Low Emission Zone: The Zone is in place throughout central London, to help improve air quality. Find out more about how it may affect you if you’re driving in The City.

Congestion Charge Zone: The Congestion Charge is a daily charge if you drive within the Charging zone 07:00-22:00, every day, except Christmas Day (25 December). You only need to pay once, no matter how many times you drive in and out of the Congestion Charge zone on the same day. The daily charge is £15 if you pay in advance or on the same day, or £17.50 by midnight of the third charging day after travel.

Can I bring my pet?

Why leave your pet at home when you can bring them along with you?

At South Place Hotel we love all pets, from dogs, cats to the more exotic. So why leave them at home when they can join you during your stay. All pets are welcome in 3 Bar and 3SP. At present pets are not allowed in Angler Restaurant.

Where can I park?

The closest public car park is the underground at Finsbury Square NCP. For guests using GPS navigation, enter postcode EC2M 2AF to make your journey easier.

Please note, there is a height restriction on vehicles over the height of 6’1 or 185 cm.

Can I store my luggage at the hotel?

Guests who are either arriving or departing South Place Hotel can store their luggage with us from 8am until 8pm.

Whether you’re checking in early and your room isn’t ready, or you don’t want to carry your suitcase around town after check-out. Leave it with us and we will securely keep your bags in our luggage room. We just ask you collect your belongings before 8pm.

Where is the nearest station?

We are located between two stations, Liverpool Street Station and Moorgate Station.

Liverpool Street Station has access to the Elizabeth, Central, Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan lines as well as TFL Rail.

When the final timetable is in place in 2023, an Elizabeth line service every two and a half minutes at peak will enable passengers to travel through to Paddington, Heathrow or Reading in the west and Shenfield or Abbey Wood in the east.

Moorgate Station has access to the Northern, Hammersmith and City, Circle, Metropolitan lines and National Rail.

How do I book a room online using a gift card?

A D&D gift card is a form of payment so there is no need to make a special booking just book as you normally would and have the card ready on check-out


What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is before 12noon.

What is the age policy?

The lead booker must be 18 years or older and guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

For children under the age of five, we provide baby cots free of charge. For children over the age of 5 we have interconnecting rooms which make fabulous family pads.

Let us know in advance so our team can allocate rooms in accordingly.

We reserves the right to cancel a booking if the person cannot provide government issued ID to confirm date of birth.

Why do you need a debit or credit card when I check in?

Pre-authorisation of your credit card is a “hold” on your credit card by South Place Hotel who has initiated a charge, but not fully processed it. Upon check-out, the pre-authorisation sum will be released back to your card minus all additional charges and extras accrued during your stay.

Please note: We use your credit card at check-in to ensure sufficient funds are available to settle your final bill – and we hold this amount throughout the full length of your stay. The amount we check for will depend on the length of your stay and the room type you have booked. The member of staff checking you in will explain this process clearly. No money is taken from your credit card, however, it will show as a pending transaction. The authorisation of your card will last the length of your stay. Upon departure, the hold will be released and it may take your credit card provider up to five business days to show on your account. You can use a different card to pay your final bill. Debit cards can be used but will be subject to your card issuers terms of use as to when the amount will be returned to you.

Can I use cash?

We do not accept cash in any areas of the hotel.

Which debit/credit cards can I use?

You can pay with the following cards; Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners, Apple Pay and JCB.

How/when will I receive my receipt?

Your receipt is sent electronically as a PDF to your e-mail address by midnight on your departure day.

How do I guarantee my reservation for late arrival?

Does the room have an Iron and hairdryer?

All our bedrooms come with a hair dryer and steam irons.

How many devises can I connect to the WIFI?

There is no limit – Surf away!

I booked through a travel agent and the information is different from the hotel, what can I do?

We will always direct you back to the agent used to book the room. The agreement to reserve is held with them and we do advise up to date information but it will be down to the agent to pass this on to you.

Restaurant & Bars

Do I need to book for the bar or restaurant?

Angler restaurant and the Secret Garden require a reservation in advance. Our other bar and restaurant welcome walk-ins.

Do you serve brunch?

3SP offers brunch on Saturday from 12 noon until 6pm.

Can my dog come to the bar?

Dogs are permitted in the main bar and 3SP. We do not permit dogs in Angler restaurant at present.

Do you have a kids menu?

Yes please check out our current menus online.

Can I book for breakfast if I am not staying in the hotel?

Yes, everyone is welcome.

Can I book a special occasion or party at South Place?

Let your imagination run wild… South Place Hotel has five private dining rooms, two exclusive bars, and the Angler restaurant and Rooftop are available for parties of all sizes. We’ll help with planning, event production and talent management.
