Is the hotel in the London Congestion Zone?

Ultra Low Emission Zone: The Zone is in place throughout central London, to help improve air quality. Find out more about how it may affect you if you’re driving in The City.

Congestion Charge Zone: The Congestion Charge is a daily charge if you drive within the Charging zone 07:00-22:00, every day, except Christmas Day (25 December). You only need to pay once, no matter how many times you drive in and out of the Congestion Charge zone on the same day. The daily charge is £15 if you pay in advance or on the same day, or £17.50 by midnight of the third charging day after travel.

Are pets welcome?

Why leave your pet at home when you can bring them along with you!

At South Place Hotel we love all pets, from dogs, cats to the more exotic, so why leave them at home when they can enjoy a five-star stay with you in one of our Rooms, a drink in our 3Bar or grab a bit in the Chophouse Restaurant. At present pets are not permitted in Angler Restaurant or Terrace.

Where can I park?

The closest public car park is the underground Finsbury Square NCP. For guests using GPS navigation, enter postal code EC2M 2AF to make your journey easier. Please note, we do have height restrictions on vehicles over the height of 6’1 or 185 cm.

Can I store luggage

We offer luggage storage from 8am through till 8pm. Guests can leave luggage on the day of arrival if you arrive before the check in time and on the day of departure.

Where is the nearest station?

We are located between two station Liverpool street station and Moorgate station.

Liverpool street station which you have access to central line, circle, Hammersmith and city, metropolitan line and Tfl.

Moorgate station gives you access to northern line, Hammersmith and city, circle, metropolitan line and national rail.


What are the check-in and check-out times?

Unless otherwise agreed, check-in is permitted from 15:00 and we kindly ask that all guests depart by no later than 12:00pm. Early arrival can be pre-booked directly with the hotel through our reservations team.

Age Policy

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For young children we provide baby cots free of charge. For children over the age of 5 we have interconnecting rooms which make fabulous family pads. Let us know in advance so that our team can personally oversee arrangements and allocate rooms in accordingly. The hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking if the person cannot provide government issued ID confirming the age.

Why do you need a debit or credit card when I check in?

Pre-authorisation of your credit card is technically a “hold” on your credit card by the hotel who has initiated a charge, but not completely processed it. When the you check out the pre-authorisation amount will be replaced by an actual charge to your card if you have any additional charges.

Important points: We use your credit card at check-in to ensure that sufficient funds are available to settle your final bill –- and we hold this amount throughout your stay. The amount we check for will depend on the length of your stay and the room type you have booked. The member of staff checking you in will explain this process clearly. No money is taken from your credit card, however, it will show as a pending transaction. The authorisation of your card will last the length of your stay and it will take up to five days after your departure to be released. You can use a different card to pay your final bill. Debit cards can be used but will be subject to your card issuers terms of use as to when the amount will be returned to you.

Can I use cash?

We do not accept cash in any area of the hotel at present.

Which debit/credit cards can I use?

You can pay with the following cards; Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners, Apple Pay and JCB.

How/when will I receive my receipt?

Your receipt is sent electronically as a PDF to your e-mail address by midnight, on your departure day.

If you do not receive your receipt by e-mail after check-out, please contact the hotel.

How do I guarantee my reservation for late arrival?

Does the room have an Iron and hairdryer?

All our rooms have am hair dryer and steam irons, so no need to pack one!

Angler restaurant and the Secret Garden require a reservation in advance. Our other bars and restaurant off a walk in service

Chophouse restaurant located on the ground floor offers brunch throughout the weekend
