Angler Retains Its Star

We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that Angler has retained its Michelin star for the 12th consecutive year!

This year’s accolade is particularly special as it marks the first Michelin recognition under Head Chef Craig Johnston’s leadership. Since stepping into the role, Craig has brought fresh energy, creativity, and an unwavering pursuit of perfection, continuing Angler’s legacy as one of London’s finest seafood restaurants.

Craig’s journey began at 16 in his hometown of Maidenhead. He then moved to London to join Pollen Street Social, honing his pastry skills, before moving to the Michelin-starred Royal Oak in Paley Street. At just 21, Craig became the youngest-ever winner of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2017.
Following his MasterChef victory, Craig joined the team at Marcus Belgravia, working with Marcus Wareing.
Over the course of four years, he worked his way up to become Head Chef, a position he held for two years. His accomplishments earned him an Acorn Award in 2022, marking him as one of the industry’s brightest stars.

Now, Craig brings his creative flair to the renowned menus that have earned Angler its stellar reputation.
