The City's

finest roast

“Think of the last Sunday roast you had. All the trimmings, the home comforts and the possible hangover? I’m sure it was a simple and relaxing time and I am rather jealous I wasn’t there to share it with you. However, the Roast Menu has made a triumphant return to South Place Chop House and I am not that sorry to say it is better than the last roast you had, and that’s not just because this time around for an extra £15 you can enjoy bottomless bubbles or wine (you hung over lot, are you still with me?)

The traditional menu first made an appearance back in 2017 when Head Chef Guy Betteridge took the reins at the hotel. Patrons have a choice of the best British meats available, including sirloin of Hereford beef, roast Goosnargh chicken and slow roasted belly of old spot pork. For veggies amongst us the South Place Chop House offers an autumnal parsnip, chestnut and hazelnut roast, each is accompanied by duck-fat roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, a rich onion gravy and creamy cauliflower cheese.”
