South Place Hotel & Macallan Whiskey present
Burns night at 3 South Place
Celebrate Burns Night with a Scottish feast at 3 South Place.
On January 23rd, indulge in a heritage-inspired menu perfectly paired with The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old.
The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and schoolteacher, and was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then, they have built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland – and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship.
The distillery’s Double Cask 12 Years Old marries the classic Macallan style and the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. This is a fully rounded single malt in perfect balance, with flavours of fudge, citrus and soft spice, the perfect pairing for executive Chef Rob Grist’s speciality Burns Night Menu:
Start with a Haggis Scotch Egg and whisky onion marmalade, followed by Orkney Lobster with tatties, carrots and peas, then feast on dry-aged Aberdeen Angus ribeye grilled over The Macallan oak cask wood before satisfying your sweet tooth with a classic Cranachan and decadent The Macallan-infused chocolate dessert.
Reserve your table now for a true celebration of Scotland’s finest traditions, and indulge in a limited edition cocktail leading up to the big day.
