15/15 : STAFF FAVOURITES

Sir John Soane's Museum:
Dean, General Manager

Welcome back to 15/15. Our bi-weekly blog series highlighting 15 of the best activities and venues less than 15 minutes away from the hotel, chosen by its employees.

Fifth Edition:

Just a short walk from Holborn station, located by the Lincoln’s Inn Fields public square, is the Sir John Soane’s Museum – a house museum, previously occupied by its namesake, filled with the architect’s vast collection of antiques, furniture and artwork.

This historical gem is a favourite of the hotel’s General Manager, Dean Culpan, who describes it as the ‘perfect quiet corner of London’. He appreciates how the exhibitions tell stories of Soane’s life, especially noting ‘how personal it feels, and really shows off the architect’s curiosity and passion’

The museum offers a fantastic opportunity to discover global history, right in the heart of the city, with weekly tours, talks and workshops available to satisfy even the most curious historians.

Opening Times:

The Sir John Soane’s Museum is free to enter and open Wednesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.
