Peel

This room is named after a female spy known for her elegance and spirit, Emma Peel from The Avengers. There’s a large ivory lacquer table at its centre crowned by a pivoting chandelier. A wall of silver birch trees and blonde wood defines this serene space. Flooded with natural daylight or candle lit and intimate in the evenings.

Kuryakin

Named after Illya Kuryakin, the dashing Russian agent in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Kuryakin is a study in scarlet. Featuring a round lacquered table with a modern Arthurian chandelier poised above there’s also a piece of interactive artwork for playtime or if guests want to create personalised messages. Perfect for private Bellini brunches or intimate dinners.

Solo

Named after Napoleon Solo, a spy in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Solo is the smallest of our five private rooms but still generously proportioned. At the rooms centre is a bespoke table that slickly transforms into a billiards table – hence the cues lined up along the wall. This is the ultimate after-dinner games room enhanced further by double doors connecting to our speakeasy bar, Le Chiffre.

Le Chiffre

Our library bar and lounge is a cosy and intimate den. A private speakeasy for one night only, perfect for casual parties. With double doors thrown open, Le Chiffre connects to Solo, a great addition for games when setup in ‘billiards mode’.

Secret Garden

Dubbed ‘Miami off Moorgate’ our tropical garden is an outside bar available for private hire. Heaters, blankets and a retractable roof help to maintain paradise climates. A party in the Secret Garden is like a private island escape.

Angler Rooftop

Now available for exclusive hire, the Angler Terrace is a hidden gem in the City. Located on the seventh floor of the hotel, adjacent to its Michelin-starred restaurant, the rooftop terrace accommodates up to 70 guests standing, making it the ideal spot for a drinks reception – serving Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes’ menu of delectable canapés or snacks. With its retractable roof, the Angler Terrace can be used for events all year round.

Angler Private Hire

For small groups and intimate parties, Angler has a semi-private dining room, The Chef’s View. These are the best seats in the house with a window into the bustling kitchen and views of the iconic Gherkin and the Salesforce Tower (previously The Heron Tower).

Available on a limited basis only, Angler restaurant is available for excusive hire which includes access to Angler’s roof terrace, semi-private dining room and private bar.

First Floor Takeover

If you are planning an event to really blow the socks off your guests, take over our entire first floor. Exclusively yours for however long its needed , our dedicated events team will help plan an event for up to 400 guests. South Place Hotel was designed for wining, dining and dancing, before falling into a comfortable bed. The perfect spot for an extravagant party, a business development day or a lavish wedding.
